As is known, from September 4 to 14, the English city of Liverpool will host the first-ever World Championship among adults. The prestigious tournament is organized at the initiative and sponsorship of World Boxing.
More than 500 skilled athletes from 60 countries will participate in the World Championship. Serious clashes are expected in the ring from the start of the competition today.
On the first day, only one boxer will represent Uzbekistan - Nigina Uktamova. She will compete against Kazakhstani athlete Elina Bazarova in the -54 kg weight category.
According to the organizers, the fights will be held in two programs at Tashkent time: in the daytime at 15:00, and in the evening at 22:00. Uktamova's fight is scheduled for 22:15.
We remind you that this World Championship among adults is of historical significance, as it is being held for the first time. Young and talented representatives of the Uzbek boxing school are expected to show high results in this competition.
