As is known, the World Boxing Championship among adults, held for the first time in the English city of Liverpool, is in full swing. Our athletes, who worthily defend the honor of Uzbekistan at this prestigious competition, are also competing in the ring.
Nigina Uktamova, representing Uzbekistan, competed in the -54 kg weight category. Her opponent was the experienced Hungarian athlete Anna Lakotar. The fight lasted three full rounds, and every minute was full of intense battles.
Uktamova felt confident in the ring and managed to knock her opponent off balance with accurate and impressive shots. Our compatriot, who won in each round, won by unanimous decision of the judges. Thus, he managed to qualify for the quarterfinals.
