Manchester City have completed the long-awaited transfer and announced on their official pages the signing of renowned Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
According to reports, the Citizens spent €30 million on this acquisition. At the same time, a 5-year contract has been signed with Donnarumma, which also provides for an option to extend for another year. This agreement ensures his long-term plans with the club.
As a reminder, Donnarumma joined PSG as a free agent from AC Milan in 2021. Four years later, he left the French club to join the former English champions as a new challenge.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper achieved a fantastic result with PSG last season - winning the Champions League trophy. However, Luis Enrique stated that he doesn't see him as a permanent goalkeeper in the starting lineup. At the same time, City started a new era by parting ways with Ederson and bringing Gianluigi to the team.
Now Donnarumma wants to strive for new achievements in European football with the team led by Pep Guardiola.
