Ilyos Zeytullayev: "The victory wasn't easy, but we played well"

Following the 1-0 victory over Bunyodkor and Xorazm in the 21st round of the Super League, Tashkent club head coach Ilyos Zeytullayev spoke with journalists and shared his thoughts on the match.

The coach first spoke about his impressions of playing at the new stadium:

- The Olympic complex was built with great effort, and playing here evoked special feelings. The guys played a very difficult match, putting in a lot of effort. Therefore, I sincerely congratulate our team on the victory. We knew well that the match against "Khorezm" would not be easy. Because they will fight until the end in every match as a team fighting to stay in the Super League.

He also responded to the question about the players' pace of movement:

- It might seem to some that the team played hard, but I don't think so at all. On the contrary, the players performed well. "Khorezm" is a well-prepared team under an experienced coach. We knew they had come for points, and it was even possible that they would win. We moved more slowly, but emphasizing the quality of the game.

Zeytullayev also commented on the stadium's lawn:

- The condition of the field is satisfactory. The main thing is that all teams in the entire Super League should play on good pitches. Only then will it be possible to seriously talk about the development of football in the national championship. This requires time and financial expenditure, but the goal is worth achieving.

Answering the question about the team's current fourth place, the coach emphasized that all efforts are the result of teamwork:

- Everyone contributed to this result. At the beginning of the year, we discussed plans with the management. Several options were considered regarding which path to take and who to compete with. The most important thing is to be able to instill our idea and style in the players. We are resolutely following this path.

Thus, Zeytullayev emphasized that the team's previous goals are clear and the young men's enthusiasm is leading them, expressing hope that even more joyful moments await the fans.
