At the ongoing World Championship among adults in Liverpool, representatives of our country are successfully continuing their journey. Olympic champion Abdumalik Khalokov, who entered the ring in the fourth final of the day, also lived up to the fans' expectations.

In the decisive match in the -60 kg weight category, Khalokov faced Brazilian Luis Oliveira. In the fight, the Uzbek athlete won the victory thanks to his training and experience. Although he was unable to continue in the final rounds, he had a significant advantage on points, and the judges recorded his victory. Thus, after 2023, Abdumalik once again won the title of world champion and made history as a two-time champion.

As a reminder, he participated in the World Championship in 2021 and won a silver medal. Thus, our boxer once again delighted not only himself, but all his compatriots.

As a result of this victory, the delegation of Uzbekistan won its fifth gold medal in the overall standings. Previously, Fazliddin Erkinboyev brought the first gold to our country, while Asadkhoja Moydinkhojayev won the second, Javokhir Ummataliyev the third, and Turabek Habibullayev the fourth. In the women's competitions, our athletes also participated with 3 bronze medals.
