Following the Neftchi vs. Dinamo (2:1) match in the 22nd round of the Uzbekistan Super League, Samarkand's head coach, Vadim Abramov, answered journalists' questions at a press conference.
According to Abramov, the main emphasis was placed on questions, as all the fans witnessed the match firsthand. He emphasized that "Dinamo" entered the field for victory, but some mistakes and shortcomings on the bench negatively affected the team's result.
"Both goalkeepers played on the field today. "Usually, you've been trusting Edem Nemanov lately," Abramov responded as follows:
- Here, not only confidence, but also training performance is important. Both goalkeepers work well. When Nemanov left for the national team, we played friendly matches, and Yagudin was the main goalkeeper. He is an experienced football player. However, due to eye problems, he was unable to continue the game in the second half, and as a result, he had to put Nemanov on the field.
Abramov also acknowledged the team's lack of reserves:
- Unfortunately, our reserves are very short. Some of our players have been injured, while others have been disqualified. Therefore, when the game went yellow, we couldn't bring the necessary strength from the reserves. "I apologize to the Samarkand fans for the defeat," said the coach.
In his opinion, "Dynamo" went to Fergana not for a draw, but only for victory. However, simple errors cost the team dearly:
"Football is a game where the team that always has the advantage doesn't win. We also played offensively, but a small mistake affected the big result," Abramov said.
Journalists' attention was also drawn to Dinamo's constant loss to Levchenko's Neftchi. To the question about this, Abramov answered:
- Because "Neftchi" has a good coach. He puts the tactics correctly and doesn't make mistakes in player selection. That's why they always prevail against us.
As can be seen from Abramov's words, despite internal problems, the team is playing in matches only for victory. But today's defeat was a big lesson for them.
