In the 6th round of the English Premier League, Manchester City hosted Burnley at home and demonstrated a strong performance to the spectators. In the first half, City gradually began to take control and this process resulted in a 5-1 score.
In the 12th minute, Maxime Estève scored an own goal — this opened the score in favor of City. In the 38th minute, Jaydon Antony equalized for Burnley. However, in the second half Pep Guardiola’s students completely dominated.
Matheus Nunes scored his first goal in the 61st minute, and four minutes later Estève again caused an own goal for the second time. The final strike came from Erling Haaland — he scored twice in the 90th and 90+3rd minutes, strengthening his team's advantage.
According to statistics, Manchester City was superior in every aspect with 21 shots, 634 passes, 88% accuracy, 69% possession, and 10 corner kicks.
