The fourth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers has begun in Asia, and in the first match of Group A, Oman played against Qatar and recorded a score of 0:0. The match took place in Qatar, while the UAE rested in this round. Although there were no goals, strong discipline, tight defense, and the goalkeepers' reliable play kept the intrigue going until the end.
Next is the UAE-Oman match on October 11th. The final match at the Al-Olympic Stadium is scheduled for October 14th: the UAE will host Qatar. As a reminder, according to the 4th stage format, three teams will participate in each group: the first-place winner will qualify directly for the World Cup, and the second-place winner will try their luck in the continental playoffs.
