The African qualifying stage for the 2026 World Cup has concluded, and another participant has been confirmed. The Ghana national team claimed an important victory in the final round, earning a place at the upcoming tournament.
In the decisive match, Ghana defeated the Comoros Islands by a narrow margin thanks to Kudus’ goal. This result allowed them to surpass Madagascar and Mali and finish first in their group.
Thus, Ghana will play in the World Cup for the fifth time in its history. The African side made its debut in 2006 and has missed only the 2018 edition since then.
Ghana’s best performance came at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where the team reached the quarterfinals and left a strong impression on world football.
