The Real Madrid club opposes the holding of the "Villarreal" and "Barcelona" match within the Spanish championship in the USA. The club has sent an official appeal regarding this not only to the Spanish High Sports Council, but also to the CONCACAF confederation.
According to Euro-football.ru, Real Madrid asked CONCACAF not to allow the match to be held on its territory. Earlier, UEFA had granted permission for the "Villarreal" and "Barcelona" teams to play in Miami in December.
However, UEFA stated that it had been forced to make this decision, as such a situation is not clearly described in the current regulations. Some players of the "Barcelona" team have also opposed holding the match in the USA.
The holding of the match in the USA has caused debates in Spanish football. In the future, clear rules regarding such matches are expected to be developed.
