The match between Villarreal and Barcelona will not be held in the US. The organizers abandoned the plan to hold the game in Miami on Tuesday, October 24th, due to protests in Spain.
Real Madrid has expressed its satisfaction with the cancellation of the match. Club representatives stated that holding a La Liga match abroad would be a violation. In their opinion, this situation undermines the fairness of the competition.
Real Madrid's management also considers it important that the opinions of other clubs and players were not taken into account when making decisions. Real Madrid is currently vying for La Liga leadership and is preparing for the upcoming El Clásico.
Barcelona will travel to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on October 26th. Previously, several negotiations were held to hold the La Liga match in the US.
However, the Spanish football community opposed this idea. The possibility of hosting La Liga matches abroad remains open.
