Barcelona demanded Flick's participation in the match against Real

The head coach of Barcelona, Hans-Dieter Flick, is trying to have his disqualification lifted in order to participate in the La Liga match against Real. The Catalans submitted an appeal to the Appeals Committee on Thursday.

According to Euro-football.ru, the club is awaiting a final decision on the matter. Flick received a red card in the match against Girona last weekend.

The referee sent him off the field following a second warning. The reason was the coach's protest at the referee's decision.

Barcelona stated in their appeal that the notes in the referee’s protocol do not correspond with the video footage. Previously, the disciplinary committee ignored the Catalans’ arguments and imposed a disqualification on Flick.

If this appeal is also rejected, the club will have an option to appeal to the Spanish Sports Administrative Court. The Real vs Barcelona match will take place on Sunday, October 26.
