Temur Kapadze, one of the coaches of the Uzbekistan national team, traveled to England several months ago and exchanged experience at the residence of one of the world's leading clubs - "Manchester City." He spoke about this on the "Gol" program on the "Sport TV" channel.
During the trip, Kapadze spoke closely with the coaches and specialists working at the City academy. According to him, representatives of the English club were very pleased with the performances of the Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov and asked to provide information about such talented young players in the future.
"When I visited the Manchester City academy, most of the specialists there were German. They asked me: "Are you even younger than Husanov?" At that moment, I felt how pleased they were with Husanov. Not only the coaches, but also the fans were satisfied with his performance. The club's sports director even gave me a visiting card and said, "If there are such players, let me know. We have scouts, but as a coach, you know them well," Kapadze said.
The coach emphasized that the Manchester City academy's work style is highly structured, and great attention is paid to the personal development of each young player.
"There, the player is developed not only technically, but also psychologically. There is an individual approach to each player. In this respect, I consider this academy a real example," he said.
Temur Kapadze added that during his stay at the "City" academy, he also learned the methodology of working with defenders, tactical approaches, and the culture of communication with youth.
In football discussions, this visit is considered an important step for Uzbek football. Because the country's coaches have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with advanced methods and systematic approaches in modern football.
For information, Abdukodir Khusanov is currently working at the Manchester City academy and is one of the players close to the main squad of the team. His talent has also been highly praised by international experts.
