
At the III Youth Asian Games, which are taking place in the capital of Bahrain, Manama, Uzbek athletes are competing fiercely and continue to raise the flag of our country high. Yesterday's competitions became one of the brightest pages on the agenda - our compatriots won a total of 22 medals, 13 of which are gold!
With this result, the Uzbekistan delegation took the top spot in the competition table. Our athletes defeated their opponents in weightlifting, boxing, and judo, worthily defending the honor of our country.
Gold medalists:
- Dilnura Kholdorova (weightlifting, -77 kg, snatch and clean and jerk) - became the first in both disciplines and became a two-time champion.
- Abdugani Yorkinjonov (boxing, -46 kg) - defeated his opponent in the final with a clear advantage.
- Rushanabonu Isoyova (boxing, -60 kg) and Ibrohim Shokirjonov (boxing, -60 kg) - secured valuable victories for the national team.
- Diyorbek Murodillayev (boxing, -75 kg) and Asadbek Sultonov (boxing, +80 kg) - finished the fights in their weight categories with strong punches.
- Our judokas Gulsanam Hazratova (-57 kg), Mirzokhid Khudoykulov (-73 kg), Samandar Sunnatov (-81 kg), Jurabek Eshpulatov (-90 kg), and Alibek Durdiyev (+90 kg) also surpassed all their opponents.
- Hasanboy Kholmuratov (weightlifting, +94 kg, snatch) finished the competition with a record result.
Silver medalists:
Kurbiniso Mukhammadova (boxing, -54 kg), Saidkhuja Sadillakhujaev (boxing, -66 kg), Samira Turgunova (boxing, -75 kg), Abbosbek Akhrolov (weightlifting, -94 kg), Shohista Turaeva (judo, -70 kg) and Khonzodabegim Usmonkulova (judo, +70 kg) showed worthy struggle in the final, but they lacked some luck.
Bronze medalists:
Maftuna Akhmedova (judo, -63 kg), Mohinur Esonboyeva (weightlifting, +77 kg, clean and jerk) and Ziyoda Shomurodova (jiu-jitsu, -63 kg) added important medals to the national team's collection.
The competitions are still ongoing, but the youth of Uzbekistan have already won the hearts of fans today with their will and preparation. They are not only medals, but also a source of inspiration for future generations.
The leadership of the national team emphasized that these results are the result of reforms in the sports system of Uzbekistan and the attention paid to youth sports. The main goal of our athletes is not only to win medals, but also to present the flag of Uzbekistan to everyone on the Asian sports arena.
Thus, this tournament in Bahrain will go down in history not only for medals, but also for the will, hard work, and unity of our athletes.
