Roma club legend Daniele De Rossi is considered one of the main candidates to become the new head coach of the "Genoa" team. On November 1 of this year, the French specialist Patrick Vieira was dismissed.
In the upcoming match against "Sassuolo," the team will be temporarily managed by coaches Roberto Murgita and Domenico Criscito. After nine rounds of Serie A and with only 3 points at the bottom of the standings, "Genoa" will begin the search for a permanent head coach.
There is also a possibility that Criscito and Murgita may be retained as full-time coaches. At the same time, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, other candidates for the position include Raffaele Palladino, Paolo Vanoli, Luca Gotti, and Daniele De Rossi.
De Rossi has been unemployed since leaving "Roma" at the end of the 2024/25 season.
