"Barcelona" head coach Hans-Dieter Flick shared his thoughts after a 3:3 draw with "Brugge" in the fourth round of the Champions League group stage. Although the Catalans trailed three times during their visit to Belgium, they managed to avoid defeat.
"It was not an easy game. We had many chances, but 'Brugge' defended well and played very aggressively.
We were weaker in pressing and especially lost many duels in midfield. It was tough for our defenders.
We need to work on our intensity without the ball—it is important to stay alert when the opponent launches a counterattack with one or two passes. We must defend well not only near our goal, but also in the center of the field," Flick said via the UEFA press service.
"Barcelona" is currently in 11th place in the tournament table with 7 points.
