Guardiola: "We couldn't find ourselves in the opening minutes"

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola shared his thoughts after the 4-1 victory over Borussia. He noted his team's poor performance in the opening minutes of the match.

"We played a game a few days ago, and Borussia has always been a strong opponent. In the first 15 minutes, we couldn't quite realize where we were.

After that, we launched one or two long attacks, managed to break through the lines, and our game improved. After conceding a goal, it wasn’t easy, because the opponent played with 5-6-7 players up front.

They played fast, but once Dias joined the defense, our play on the flanks improved and we finished the game well. Thank you and respect to my players.

Right now, we’re in a good position. If we can defeat Bayer and a few other rivals, we can finish the group stage among the top 8," Guardiola told TNT Sports.
