Former footballer Diouf may be imprisoned for not paying alimony


Former Liverpool footballer, Senegalese El-Hadji Diouf could face jail time due to not paying alimony to his ex-wife. The 44-year-old footballer was required to pay his ex-wife Valeria Bishop, whom he divorced two years ago, £670 per month in alimony for their 17-year-old daughter Kayla.

According to the British publication “The Sun”, the footballer's total debt currently amounts to £14,000. According to Valeria, Diouf faces the risk of imprisonment because he is not paying this debt.

The former footballer is refusing to attend court hearings, and the next court session is scheduled for December 5 of this year.
