Sunday’s match between Manchester City and Liverpool will mark Pep Guardiola’s 1000th game in his managerial career. The Catalan coach expressed his pride at reaching this milestone after 18 years in management. He said that when he started with Barcelona B, he could never have imagined reaching such a level.
“Reaching 1000 games as a manager is a great honor. I just wanted to do my job with dedication and play proper football with my team,” said Guardiola. He noted that during his career he has worked at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City, and has always felt full support at each club.
