The match between Bunyodkor and Dinamo (1:3) in the 28th round of the Super League generated significant interest not only on the field but also away from it. Following the match, Samarkand club head coach Vadim Abramov participated in a press conference and shared his thoughts on the game.
"Everyone saw how the meeting went. "Bunyodkor" is a good team, I always admit this. In our first match in Samarkand, they brought us our first defeat. Therefore, there was no need to particularly encourage the young men in this debate - they themselves had a strong desire for victory. I want to thank my team, this game was very important for all of us. I think the fans also enjoyed the match," said the coach.
Abramov noted that this result was not only a rematch for the team, but also an important turning point in the struggle in the championship.
"Honestly, I don't pay much attention to dates or historical figures. Our main goal is to win every match. The first-round defeat had a heavy impact on us. And today we took out that bitterness. Victory was essential to prevent Bunyodkor from approaching us. We have three more games left, now we will focus on them," he said.
The coach also commented on Dinamo's frequent long-range shots this time:
"In football, everything depends on the opponent. If the opponent defends collectively, then it will be difficult to penetrate the center of the field. Therefore, we had to deliver more long-range shots. This wasn't part of the plan, but rather the situation in the game itself."
Abramov also expressed satisfaction with the young players' performance:
"Our youth played well. For example, O'rmonjonov was often drawn into the defense with his left foot, and he needs to continue learning to play under such pressure. He has great potential."
The coach was asked about the expiration of some players' contracts:
"It's true, most of their contracts are ending. I can't say for sure now whether there is interest in them or not. After the end of the championship, everything will become clear. A footballer strives where the conditions are good - this is natural."
Speaking about the issue of injuries, Abramov drew attention to the conditions on the field:
"We often train on a hard field, and on the day of the game, we go out onto soft lawns. This affects the physical fitness of the players. In training, we wear rubber boots, and in games, toothed boots are required. This will be a heavy burden on the body and increase the risk of injury."
According to Abramov, Dinamo is currently in high spirits and intends to play every match for victory. Pakhtakor's point drop opened a new opportunity for the Samarkand side.
Thus, "Dynamo" not only achieved an important victory over "Bunyodkor," but also restored a strong psychological spirit for more active participation in the championship race.
