Lens defeated Monaco to reach the leader

In the 12th round of the First League, "Monaco" hosted "Lens" at their home ground. During the match, "Lens" defeated their opponent 4:1 and climbed up to the top positions in the league table.

Initially, in the 21st minute, an incorrect pass by Thilo Kehrer was intercepted by Florian Thauvin, who initiated the attack. He passed to the center, Adrien Thomasson's shot was blocked by the goalkeeper, but Odsonne Edouard directed the ball into the net to open the scoring – 0:1.

In the 37th minute, Folarin Balogun successfully converted a penalty, equalizing the score – 1:1. However, shortly after, "Lens" regained the lead.

In the 40th minute, Wesley Saïd entered the penalty area and struck a powerful shot near the goalpost – 1:2. In the 45th minute, Balogun received a red card, leaving "Monaco" with just ten players.

However, "Lens" took full advantage of this situation, and Mamadou Sangaré scored against the opponent's goal, making the score 1:3. In the second half, during the 60th minute, "Lens" extended their lead further.

Wesley Saïd headed the ball into the net from a corner kick, making the score 1:4. On "Monaco's" side, Ansu Fati, who attempted a free kick, couldn't make the most of his opportunities.
