Rob Edwards has been appointed as the head coach of the English club 'Wolverhampton'. This was reported by The Athletic.
According to the information, 'Wolverhampton' has reached an agreement with Edwards' previous club 'Middlesbrough' regarding the compensation amount. The payment amounts to 2.275 million euros.
The contract duration includes 3.5 seasons. Before 'Middlesbrough', Edwards worked at 'Watford', the England youth national team (U16), and other lesser-known clubs.
It is expected that the coach will remain in his position even if the team fails to keep its place in the English Premier League. The official statement is expected to be announced on November 10.
Currently, 'Wolverhampton' has scored only 2 points in 11 games and is at the bottom – 20th place – of the championship standings. 'Nottingham' has 6 points, while 'West Ham' and 'Burnley' have 10 points each.
