Haaland Achieves Second-Best Record in Premier League History

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland once again demonstrated his remarkable skills — this time against Liverpool. The Norwegian footballer missed a penalty in the 13th minute of the match played on Sunday but made up for it by scoring from open play in the 29th minute.

According to Opta data, Haaland has scored 14 goals in the first 11 rounds of the Premier League. This is the second-best start in the history of the competition, trailing only his own record of 17 goals from the 2022/23 season.

Erling Haaland is the clear leader in the Premier League 2025/26 season's top scorer chart, ahead of his closest rival, Igor Thiago, by six goals. Meanwhile, Manchester City is in second place in the league standings, four points behind Arsenal.
