Fierce competition continues at the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Today, in the third round of Group J, the Uzbekistan youth national team, led by Islombek Ismoilov, faced Panama and, as the fans expected, secured a convincing victory. In the match held at the "Aspire Academy" arena in Doha, our compatriots defeated their opponents with a score of 6:1.
From the very beginning of the match, the Uzbekistan team took full advantage. In the first half, we had the advantage in ball possession and the number of attacks, but the goals rained down like rain in the second half. In the 46th minute, Abubakir Shukurullayev opened the scoring and instilled confidence in the team. Shortly after, in the 52nd minute, Sadriddin Khasanov brought the score to 2:0.
Following this, the team moved fully into attack - Sayfiddin Sodiqov (67'), Jamshidbek Rustamov (90+1'), Asilbek Aliyev (90+5'), and Abdusamad Saidov (90+8') added their names to the scoring list. The Panama national team only managed to score a consolation goal in the 90+10th minute thanks to Joseph Pacheco - 6:1.
With this result, the Uzbekistan U-17 national team successfully completed the group stage and secured a place in the playoffs. Currently, the team has reached the leading position in Group "J." This victory was important not only in terms of the score, but also in terms of game style and teamwork.
Our team played in the following lineup: Ibrohim Shokirov, Muhammad Hakimov, Mo'minxon Bahodirxonov, Mirzaziz Abdukarimov, Sadriddin Hasanov, Muhammad Habibullayev, Sayfiddin Sodiqov, Muhammadali Musaxanov, Azizbek Abdumo'minov, Abubakir Shukurullayev, and Azizbek Erimbetov. Asilbek Aliyev, Abdusamad Saidov, and Jamshidbek Rustamov, who came on as substitutes, had a significant impact on the match and secured the victory for the team.
The Panama team never took the initiative during the match. They often played defensively, but the Uzbekistan national team kept the opponent completely under pressure with high speed, accurate passes, and creativity in attack.
After the match, coach Islombek Ismailov congratulated his students and expressed special gratitude for the team cohesion and discipline:
"In such a competition, the guys are overcoming the pressure and demonstrating their potential on the field. For us, every game is an opportunity for experience and growth," he said.
Football experts assess this victory as a vivid example of the development of youth football in Uzbekistan. Our youth showed a high level not only in the result, but also in the quality of the game.
Thus, the Uzbekistan U-17 national team has reached another milestone in its history. They will now compete against stronger opponents in the playoffs and will continue to defend the honor of the country.
