Portugal national team head coach Roberto Martinez shared his thoughts on the possibility that the upcoming World Cup could be forward Cristiano Ronaldo's last. The "Al-Nassr" striker will be 41 years old during the tournament, which is set to take place in 2026 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Ronaldo himself has confirmed that this World Cup will likely mark the conclusion of his career. "Does this add additional responsibility for me?

Right now, we are focused on our matches against Ireland and Armenia. We need to win these games to secure our place in the 2026 World Cup.

This isn't just Ronaldo's last World Cup but also a significant moment for his entire career at the international level," Martinez stated at a press conference. The Portugal national team is set to play against Ireland on November 13 and Armenia on November 16, in their final games of the qualification group stage.
