Timo Werner could join Messi in MLS


German club "RB Leipzig" winger Timo Werner could leave the team during the winter transfer window, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.

Sources suggest that the likelihood of the 29-year-old footballer leaving the club in winter is increasing. Unless there are significant changes, Werner is expected to join a club in the American MLS league in January.

This season, Werner has only appeared in one match in the German championship, playing just one minute. The striker's current contract with "RB Leipzig" is valid until next summer.

The Transfermarkt portal values the player at 5 million euros.
