Sherki: I Am an Old-School Footballer

Manchester City attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki shared his thoughts on his playing style. The 22-year-old French footballer joined the "Citizens" this June from Lyon.

"My goal is to bring joy through my game. As for statistics, that's not my strong point — and it's evident in my play.

I am an old-school footballer. In the past, people played without paying attention to statistics," Cherki said in an interview with Telefoot.

This season, the player has featured in 9 matches for Manchester City, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists. Under Pep Guardiola, the team currently holds second place in the Premier League standings after 11 rounds.
