Belgium Coach Regrets Missing Direct Qualification

The assistant coach of Belgium's national team, Claude Fichaux, shared his thoughts during a press conference following their World Cup qualifying match against Kazakhstan. The game concluded in a 1-1 draw.

Head coach Rudi Garcia was unable to attend the press conference due to a suspension. "I was not satisfied at all with the first half.

To be honest, we did not expect such a game. The start was very difficult for us this time.

I regret that we couldn’t secure a direct qualification for the World Cup. Everything will be decided in the next match," Fichaux said in an interview with Nur.kz.

Additionally, Fichaux praised the performance of Kazakhstan's goalkeeper, Temirlan Anarbekov. Belgium is currently leading the group with 15 points.

North Macedonia and Wales are tied on 13 points, occupying second and third places, respectively. On November 18, Belgium will host Liechtenstein, while Wales will face North Macedonia.
