England national team sets new record
The England national football team defeated Albania 2-0 in the final round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Harry Kane scored a brace in the match, finding the net in the 74th and 82nd minutes.

The "Three Lions" have set a new record by winning 11 consecutive official matches for the first time in their history, as reported by Opta. England last suffered a defeat in October of last year, losing 2-1 at home to Greece in the Nations League.

Friendly matches were not included in this record. Since the beginning of 2025, the England national team has been managed by Thomas Tuchel.

Under the German coach, the team achieved remarkable results in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers: winning all eight matches without conceding a single goal.
