Amorim: "It wasn't a scheme, but a lack of intensity that brought down United"

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has once again clarified tactical issues in the team's game. The Portuguese manager has been accused by fans and experts of not abandoning the 3-4-3 scheme for several months. However, Amorim believes that the factor troubling the team is not tactics, but appears in completely different aspects.

According to him, in football, the scheme is just a starting point. In the subsequent process, dynamics, mutual trust, game tempo, and competitiveness become crucial.

"I have been talking about this for months: the scheme is not a problem. It just shows us how to start the game. But the main role is played by our style, character, mutual trust, and dynamics. Analyzing the games this season, the problems weren't due to tactics. Our biggest shortcoming is the lack of intensity. And to win the EPL, you need to be in the ideal situation," Amorim said in an interview with Stan Sport.

These words of the coach allowed us to look at the discussions around the team from another angle. While some experts attribute Manchester United's unstable results this season to the tactical structure, Amorim believes the main problem lies in the contradictions between physical fitness and the philosophy of play.

At the same time, important news for the club's fans: United will play their next Premier League match on November 24th at Old Trafford against Everton. This debate is seen as another test of how correct Amorim's ideas are in practice.

The main question before the team is still open - how long will it take the "reds" to increase intensity and eliminate the shortcomings in game quality?
