Bayern Munich Addresses Situation with Antony

FC Bayern Munich's sporting director Christoph Freund shared his thoughts on the topic of Antony. The Brazilian footballer was in talks with the Munich club before the closure of the summer transfer window but declined the offer as he had already given his word to Real Betis.

"That period was very turbulent. We were considering several players, and Antony was among them.

We had discussions with him, but that's in the past now. We are very satisfied with our current squad.

I believe we made the right decision in that situation," Freund said in an interview with journalist Florian Plettenberg. Antony had joined Real Betis on loan from Manchester United last season.
