Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe participated in a press conference ahead of the English Premier League (EPL) Matchday 12 game against Manchester City. The match is scheduled to start on November 22 at 8:30 PM Moscow time.
During the conference, the coach addressed several important issues. Howe stated that winger Anthony Gordon worked diligently during the international break and is close to full physical recovery.
The decision on whether Gordon will play or not will be made in the final moments. Additionally, it was confirmed that midfielder Sandro Tonali is in good physical condition after leaving Italy's national squad.
Tino Livramento is also expected to return to action soon. Howe shared his thoughts on Manchester City forward Erling Haaland, saying: "Their threat comes from various directions, so focusing on just one player would be wrong.
However, Haaland is undoubtedly an exceptional striker." The coach also expressed optimism about the team’s future based on the work done during the international break: "I simply want to see us constantly play at a high level." According to the EPL standings, Manchester City is in second place with 22 points, while Newcastle is in 14th position with 12 points.
