Newcastle defeated Manchester City at home

In the 12th round of the EPL, Newcastle played a practically tough match at home, impressing their fans once again by defeating Manchester City. The match was anticipated with great interest and ended in a 2-1 victory for the Crows.
In the first half, both teams played each other with tension, but the score was not opened. In the second half, the game became much more lively: Barnes shot twice in a row for his team, literally becoming the hero of the evening. He opened the scoring in the 63rd minute, and in the 70th minute, he scored a brace, scoring once more against the visitors.
City goalkeeper Donnarumma and his defenders tried to cope with the pressure throughout the game, but due to errors in the center, the team lost control of the game. Nevertheless, in the 68th minute, Dias rewarded the post-break activity with a goal, shortening the score. However, Pep Guardiola's side's subsequent efforts were insufficient - Newcastle correctly corrected their mistakes and saved the victory with their reliable defense.
It's worth noting that young Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov was left on the bench. His absence offended many Uzbek football fans.
With the victory, Newcastle moved up to 14th place, bringing their points tally to 15. Manchester City remain in 3rd place with 22 points, although their championship fight is yet to come.
