Villarreal Secures Hard-Fought Victory Over Mallorca

The 13th round of Spain's La Liga saw Villarreal hosting Mallorca on home turf. The match turned out to be highly competitive.

In the 6th minute, Alfonso Pedraza delivered a cross from the left flank to the far post, where Ayoze Perez redirected the ball to the center. Gerard Moreno capitalized on the opportunity and sent the ball into the net, leaving the goalkeeper no chance – 1-0.

The visitors quickly responded: Pablo Torre passed the ball from the center to Samu Costa on the right wing, who then launched a strike from 15 meters into the far corner – 1-1. The second half of the game saw even more intense action.

In the 84th minute, Tajon Buchanan sent in a pass from the right flank. A defender attempted to clear the ball, but Tani Oluwaseyi managed to strike it beautifully into the net – 2-1.

This victory brought Villarreal within just two points of the leading clubs in the league standings. Meanwhile, Mallorca remains in the lower positions of the table.
