Barcelona Defender Speaks on New Position

Barcelona's left-back Gerard Martin played in an unfamiliar central defender position during the match against Athletic Bilbao. The 23-year-old Spanish footballer helped the "Blaugrana" secure a commanding 4-0 victory in their first match back at Camp Nou.

In an interview with journalists, Martin stated: "I trained in the central defender position for several weeks. I knew that this might become necessary in any game. It wasn't easy because maintaining the line consistently was crucial, but I felt comfortable in this role."

Barcelona's next opponent will be Chelsea, with the match scheduled to take place on November 25 as part of the Champions League.
