Laporta: The Atmosphere at Camp Nou Is Different

Barcelona President Joan Laporta shared his thoughts following the first game at the newly renovated Camp Nou stadium. The Catalan club celebrated their return to their home ground with a convincing 4–0 victory over Athletic Bilbao.

"The Montjuïc stadium rescued us temporarily, but the atmosphere at Camp Nou is completely different. It is a true football stadium, with fans situated directly alongside the pitch."

"The most challenging part of the construction is complete, and now the remaining work will progress more quickly. Our goal is to finalize the process by 2026," Laporta said in an interview with *The Touchline*.

Barcelona's next home match is scheduled for November 29 against Alaves. However, before that, Hans-Dieter Flick's team will face Chelsea in London as part of the Champions League group stage.
