"Traktor" head coach: "Nasaf's playing style is important, not just the result"

Dragan Skocic, head coach of Iran's "Traktor" team, which will play against Qarshi's "Nasaf" club in the 5th round of the Elite AFC Champions League, participated in the pre-match press conference. The Croatian specialist expressed his high respect for the opponent and revealed important tactical analyses.

Respect for opponent and losses

From the very beginning, Skocic stated that he had complete information about Nasaf and would take them seriously.

"We have accurate information about the opponent. "Nasaf's failure to achieve the expected results in recent games does not diminish our respect for them. A very difficult and decisive match lies ahead, and we are ready for it."

The coach also spoke about the loss in the squad: "Unfortunately, we can't count on our Croatian legionnaire Igor Postonijski, but all the other players are in the lineup. We will play well and strive to achieve a worthy result."

Reasons for Nasaf's failure

Answering the question about Nasaf's unsuccessful streak in recent weeks and whether tomorrow's game is one of their last opportunities, Skocic emphasized the importance of a tactical approach.

"Yes, their results were unsuccessful, but we don't focus solely on the numbers. In this situation, Nasaf's playing style is more important. They lost the game against Al Wahda due to minor errors. We need to adapt to the different conditions of tomorrow's game.

The coach listed the opponent's strengths: "This team can use a variety of tactics, such as long passes, quick ball transfers, and the use of spaces behind the defensive line. This is a well-organized team, it's just that luck turned a little away from them in the first games."

Greetings to the talented ones and Katanets

When asked which Nasaf players made a positive impression on him, Skocic stated that he would not give an individual description before the game.

"We are playing against a good team. They have many bright and talented players, but I won't dwell on the details for today."

At the end of his speech, Skocic unexpectedly sent greetings to a person familiar to Uzbek football fans - the former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Srechko Katanets: "Taking this opportunity, I would like to wish my dear friend Srechko Katanets good health."
