Kylian Mbappe, the forward for Real Madrid, failed to score during the La Liga match against Elche (2-2). The "Royal Club" avoided defeat thanks to precise strikes by Dyun Hoeysen and Jude Bellingham in the 78th and 87th minutes, respectively.
Notably, this marks the first time during Xabi Alonso's tenure as head coach—and this season—where Mbappe has failed to score in three consecutive matches. Previously, the French striker was unable to find the net in games against Rayo Vallecano (0-0) and Liverpool (0-1).
This is his longest goalless streak for the club since April. Nevertheless, Mbappe still contributed to the performance against Elche by assisting the second goal.
Despite this streak, Mbappe continues to lead the La Liga top scorer race with 13 goals.
