Guardiola: Trafford to Play if Donnarumma Is Suspended

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts regarding his goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma's yellow cards. Donnarumma received a yellow card during the match against Newcastle for expressing his dissatisfaction with the referee's decisions.

This marked his third warning of the season. Commenting on the issue without concern, Guardiola stated: "Donnarumma needs to defend his position.

If he got a yellow card, then he got it. If needed, James Trafford will step in." It was revealed that Donnarumma believed there had been a foul against him during the goal-scoring situation, which led to his protests toward the referee.

In the English Premier League, a player is required to miss one match after accumulating five yellow cards in a season.
