Former goalkeeper of the Italian national team passes away
Former goalkeeper of the Italian national team and the clubs "Milan" and "Inter," Lorenzo Buffon, has passed away at the age of 95. This was reported by his daughter, Patricia, to the publication "Quotidiano Sportivo."

Lorenzo Buffon was a cousin of Gianluigi Buffon's grandfather. The football legend died due to cardiac arrest, just one month before his birthday.

The clubs "Milan" and "Inter" published tributes in Lorenzo Buffon's memory on their official websites and social media platforms. Buffon defended the colors of "Milan" from 1949 to 1959 and played for "Inter" from 1960 to 1963.

He was a five-time Italian champion and once won the Latin Cup. In his international career, Buffon appeared in 15 matches for the Italian national team, conceding 17 goals.

After retiring as a player, he worked as a coach for lesser-known clubs and served as a scout for "Milan."
