Five Years Without Diego Maradona: Football World Remembers the Legendary Icon

Today, November 25, marks five years since the passing of legendary footballer Diego Maradona. Maradona passed away in 2020 at the age of 60.

As a player, Diego Maradona represented clubs such as "Argentinos Juniors," "Boca Juniors," "Barcelona," "Napoli," "Sevilla," and "Newell's Old Boys." He won numerous titles, including leading the Argentina national team to victory in the 1986 FIFA World Cup.

In the final of that World Cup, Argentina defeated the Federal Republic of Germany with a 3-2 score. Maradona's performances inspired millions of people around the globe.

He is regarded as one of the greatest footballers of the 20th century.
