In the fifth round of the UEFA Champions League general stage, Barcelona traveled to London and played a very difficult match against Chelsea. This time, the Catalan fans were forced to witness a heavy 0-3 defeat due to unexpected structural errors and serious breaks in defense.

Following the match, the Catalan club's head coach, experienced German specialist Hans-Dieter Flick, commented on the decisive errors in the match, especially Ronald Araujo's two yellow cards:
"I can't assess the situation with the first yellow card right now. I need to review this episode again and have a separate interview with Ronald.
In the second case, our defender shouldn't have made such a decision. This was a game situation where such an action wasn't required," said Flick.
Ronald Araujo was booked for arguing with referee Slavko Vincic in the 32nd minute of the first half. In the 44th minute, he received a second yellow card for a foul on Chelsea player Marc Cucurella. This practically predetermined the fate of the game.
These defensive errors and disruptions have become one of Barcelona's most unsuccessful nights this season. Now the team must learn from mistakes in the next matches and fight even harder for the goals of the season.
