Antony to Miss Key Match of the Year


Betis player Antony spoke about his suspension. In the last match against Girona, the Brazilian player received a red card, ruling him out of the derby against Sevilla.

'I deeply regret missing such a game. It’s the most important match of the year, and realizing that I cannot take part in it is tough,' the 25-year-old winger stated in an interview after the 2–1 victory over Utrecht in the Europa League.

This season, Antony has participated in 13 matches across all competitions for Betis, scoring six goals and providing three assists. The Sevilla derby is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 30.
