The traditional London Chess Classic 2025 super tournament has reached its peak at the Emirates Stadium in London. This year's competition is being held in a classical round-robin system with the participation of 10 elite grandmasters, and most importantly, among them is Nodirbek Abdusattorov, who is defending the honor of our country.
The competition is characterized by a high level and fierce competition. The ratings already show what level they are at: famous chess players like Firuzja, Elyanov, Shankland, Adams, Vityugov are gathered in one circle.
But the chess player who demonstrates the most stable and reliable game at the start is Nodirbek!
Abdusattorov's results in three rounds
Round 1:
Nodirbek - Gavain Maroroa Jones 1⁄2 -1⁄2
In the first match of the tournament, Abdusattorov maintained his balance, avoided dangerous positions, and secured a draw with a solid debut.
Round 2:
Abhimanyu Mishra - Nodirbek 0-1
In the second round, our 20-year-old leader showed the expected activity and defeated the representative of the USA, Abhimanyu Mishra, with a beautiful combination. Despite having a rating of 2642, Mishra could not withstand positional pressure.
Round 3:
Nodirbek - Nikita Vityugov 1:0
The most impressive victory came here. Against the experienced Vityugov (2657), who defended the honor of England, Nodirbek gradually strengthened his subtle strategic advantages and reached the finish line. This achievement gave him the sole lead in the tournament.
Table status
After the first 3 rounds, Abdusattorov scored 2.5 points and is ahead of his close pursuers:
1. Nodirbek Abdusattorov - 2.5 points
2. Nicolos Teodoru - 2
3. Alireza Firuzja - 2
All other participants are lagging behind with scores of 1.5 and below.
