Merino Comments on Match Against Chelsea


Arsenal player Mikel Merino shared his thoughts on the 1-1 draw against Chelsea. The Spanish footballer scored Arsenal's sole goal in the 59th minute.

The hosts had earlier opened the scoring in the 48th minute through Trevoh Chalobah. Interestingly, Chelsea played with one man down starting from the 38th minute after Moisés Caicedo received a red card.

"We were disappointed not to win. However, the season is long, and many matches are still ahead.

Playing at Chelsea's ground is extremely tough, but we showed good character and secured a point," Merino told journalists in an interview. Arsenal currently leads the Premier League standings with 30 points.

Enzo Maresca’s team is in third place with 24 points.
