Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone shared his thoughts on the match following the 1-3 defeat to Barcelona in the 19th round of La Liga.
In a post-match interview, Simeone praised his team's performance and emphasized the possibility of winning:
"I'm pleased with our performance in the match. We started well, but then the opponent launched effective attacks through the center, resulting in goals. At the beginning of the second half, Barcelona seemed superior, but after 20 minutes, we managed to take the initiative. We had three good chances to win, we couldn't capitalize on them, but I'm satisfied with the team's performance," Simeone said.
After 15 La Liga matches, Barcelona is currently at the top of the league table with 37 points. Atletico Madrid sits in 4th place with 31 points.
According to Simeone and his personal opinion, Atletico's performance demonstrates the team's enormous potential for achieving ambitious goals. Every action and behavior of the team should be well monitored.
