Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, currently playing on loan at Turkey's Trabzonspor, will not participate in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. This was reported by the official website of the Cameroon Football Federation.
Following the team’s failure to qualify for the World Cup, the head coach of the Cameroon national team has been replaced. New coach David Pagu announced an expanded squad list for the tournament, which excluded two prominent players, including Andre Onana and forward Vincent Aboubakar.
Vincent Aboubakar previously scored 45 goals in 116 appearances for the Cameroon national team. The extended squad includes the following goalkeepers: Devis Epassy (Dinamo Bucharest, Romania), Simon Omossola (Lupopo, Congo), Simon Ngapandouetnbu (Montpellier, France), and Edward Sombang (Colombe Sportive, Cameroon).
The Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco and is set to begin on December 21. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
