The second round of matches at the ongoing Arab Cup in Qatar kicked off in a lively ensemble atmosphere. The hosts of the tournament, Qatar, played against Syria in the central match of Group A. After winning the first round, the Syrians, who wanted to prove themselves again, once again showed great willpower.
Although the Qatari team took the lead with a goal scored by Alaa in the 77th minute, the like-minded team didn't abandon the game until their last breath. With the clash and pressure intensifying, Harbin leveled the score in the 90th minute with a precise shot. Thus, the hosts lost their crucial victory due to carelessness.
The second meeting of the group took place according to a completely different scenario. In the match against Tunisia, the Palestine national team received two goals in the first half of the game, making the situation seem very difficult. However, the Palestinian players did not lose heart; on the contrary, a completely new team appeared on the field in the second half.
Hamdan reduced the score in the 61st minute, and then Qanbar capitalized on the opportunity in the 85th minute, scoring a goal and providing his team with a very valuable point. With this, the Palestinian team made one of the most dramatic comebacks of the tournament.
As a reminder, Palestine defeated hosts Qatar in the first round, while Syria secured a victory over Tunisia. Now, in Group A, the situation is becoming even more tense - every point truly matters.
