Flik: Yamal Must Be Defended on the Field

Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick believes that midfielder Lamine Yamal should be protected on the football field. The German specialist conveyed this during a press conference when asked about Yamal's off-the-ball performance.

"Yamal performs well even without the ball; he presses with high intensity. In this aspect, he has achieved significant growth.

I am very impressed with his work during training sessions. He is in excellent physical condition.

We need to protect players like him—they can execute unique actions on the field, play fairly, avoid simulations, and aim to get past one, two, or even three players," Flick told journalists. On Saturday, December 6, Barcelona will play an away match against Betis.
