Kavazashvili: Chevalier Is Not Playing Without Mistakes

Former Soviet Union national team goalkeeper Anzor Kavazashvili assessed Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov's prospects at PSG. The goalkeeper made his first appearance since May and contributed to a 5–0 victory over Rennes.

"He will be given another chance, especially if the main goalkeeper is sidelined for a long time due to injury. Chevalier is not playing flawlessly, and Matvey will have the opportunity to prove himself," Kavazashvili told "Sovetskiy Sport."

Following this victory, PSG is currently in second place with 33 points. After 15 rounds, Lens is leading with 34 points.

"Marseille" and "Lille" have each accumulated 29 points. Previously, Kavazashvili congratulated Safonov on his "clean sheet."
